Since relocating to the dusty red rock country of the Grand Canyon in 1999, I've become perversely focused on painting women and water.  These women are not what you would call idealized but their free flying dive styles have a certain appeal.  Lately I've been painting mermaids and in some of these paintings the divers are coming close to meeting up with their watery counterparts.  All of these paintings are acrylic on canvas that I (sometimes badly) sewed into banner-type-hangings, suspended upon red wooden dowels.
